Dear Lorenzo’s House Family,

My husband’s courageous walk with younger-onset Alzheimer’s began my mission to provide a path to connection, resources, and light for families. For a decade our family has been traversing Lorenzo’s unforgiving diagnosis. Our beloved Lorenzo passed last month. This profound loss leaves me heartbroken, and our world a little less bright. It also leaves me with a renewed clarity and urgency to find every family who feels lost and isolated, and widen our path together.

Families need a place to belong, a place to connect with others who understand, a place to access relevant resources, and a place to find collective light together. Lorenzo’s House is that place. Families united in our mission echo carepartners like Kimberly, “After my husband’s diagnosis, we searched everywhere for a place that understood ‘younger-onset’ in a family, but there was no place for us. We were lost and overwhelmed. The programs and the personalized touch are all things we lean on now. We are not alone anymore. My family is a part of the Lorenzo’s House family.”

Today begins our 100 Days of Light Campaign, a three-month fundraising endeavor. As a nonprofit organization, we raise annual funds to provide free services – ensuring all families have access. The inquiries for support from Lorenzo’s House are increasing by the day in a world where 85% of families living with dementia do not receive support. In less than two years our holistic model has touched hundreds of lives – and we need you beside us as we continue our critical work.

Please consider donating to Lorenzo’s House. Your gift is vital to the growth of our programs and infrastructure. Only together can we provide families a path to connection, resources, and light. We invite you to mark your calendars for our virtual event, ‘Evening of the Lights’, on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 6-7pm CT.  A night to show gratitude, share annual highlights, and celebrate our progress.
