START A YOPROS CHAPTER
Thank you for your interest in starting a Young Professionals Chapter in your city!
We realize that young adults show up uniquely in their communities, and we hope that by advocating with younger voices, our cause will be magnified and shared in new and creative ways.
Our Mission:
Similar to the Young Professionals Board, our Young Professionals Chapters will empower families living with a younger-onset Alzheimer’s and other dementias diagnosis by providing education, advocacy, and outreach to their local communities. By representing the organization’s Mission, these chapters will spread awareness and raise funds, all while cultivating a strong and meaningful presence in their community.
Why Start a Chapter?
Each chapter will come together to spread awareness for younger-onset dementia in their local community. Chapters will receive exclusive information, resources, and branded marketing material to share. Chapters also receive access to a Young Professionals Board Liaison who will provide members with fundraising and development tips.
Requirements:
- Two or more people required to form a Chapter
- Must obtain approval from the Lorenzo’s House Board of Directors
- Agree to meet at least four times annually, ideally in person, for Chapter Meetings
- Help plan and host one annual fundraising event in your respective city
- Embody the values and culture of Lorenzo’s House
- Commit to sharing Lorenzo’s House with people in your city
Chapters will remain closely connected to our organization by a Young Professionals Board Liaison that will be personally assigned if the chapter application is approved.
