Imagine a place that is filled with families walking your similar path – where you feel comfortable and connected – like you belong. At Lorenzo’s House we arrive as strangers and end up family – because we imagined a place where we didn’t have to walk this journey alone.
Healing Spaces re-imagines what community can look and feel like. We design virtual programs for the entire family to heal in community and advocate for dementia justice.
Our Healing Spaces Programs
All of our programs are free and virtual
Bright Brunch
Our Bright Brunch is designed for female caregiver partners/spouses of a person walking with younger-onset dementia. This virtual space is designed to feel understood, share common stories, exchange resources and cure isolation.
Join us on the first Saturday of the month from 11:00am-12:30pm CT.
LIGHT LOUNGE
Our Light Lounge is designed for male caregiver partners/spouses of a person walking with younger-onset dementia. This virtual space is designed to feel understood, share common stories, exchange resources and cure isolation.
Join us on the third Wednesday of the month from 7-8:30pm CT.
SHINE ON
Our Shine On space is for adult carepartners and spouses whose person has passed after walking with younger-onset dementia.
For adult carepartner spouses experiencing grief and loss to find connection and community.
3rd Tuesday of each month 6:00pm-7:15pm CT
MUSIC, MOVEMENT & COMMUNITY
An in-person & virtual interactive experience where music and expression ignite joy.
This is in an inclusive and stimulating learning environment of personal connection and fun.
Sessions are hosted both in person & virtually!

2nd & 4th Saturday of the month from 11:00am-12:30pm CT.
Where?
2nd Saturday in person at Old Town School of Folk Music: 4544 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625.
4th Saturday in person at Old Town School of Folk Music: 4544 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, IL 60625 or virtually via Zoom.
This is a hybrid class–you may attend in person or virtually via zoom.
